NTA will open the correction facility in the application form on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The form correction facility for the session 1 application form was open from April 6 to 8.

JEE Main Application Form Correction 2022: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the JEE Main 2022 application form correction facility for session 1 forms in June. The correction facility will be provided for making changes in application details and images. Candidates need to use JEE Main login window on the official website and log in using their application number and password for making changes. By using the JEE Main correction window, candidates could update details and change images in their filled JEE Main application form. The facility to make changes in choices of JEE Main exam centres is also provided during the correction period. Although no correction facility will be provided in JEE Main application form 2022, candidates can check here the process of making the corrections.

How to make corrections in JEE Main application form?

Candidates can make corrections in the form using the below-mentioned steps.

  1. Visit the JEE Main 2022 official website - https://jeemain.nta.nic.in
  2. Navigate and hit the ‘Login for correction in Application Form’ tab
  3. Enter your Application Number, Password, and Security Pin on the login window
  4. Hit the ‘Login’ button
  5. Click on ‘Manage Form Particulars Correction’ to edit and make changes
  6. Read the instructions carefully
  7. Edit the information and make the changes
  8. Pay an additional fee if required

How to Change Candidate Name in JEE Main Application Form  

Candidates who have made any spelling error in their name in the JEE Main application form need not worry. Candidates can correct spelling mistakes of their names during the correction window. It is to be noted that NTA has started the facility of Aadhaar based e-KYC facility for filling the form which is completely optional. Candidates who have filled the form with Aadhaar based e-KYC will not be able to change their name. Candidates who have not used the Aadhaar based e-KYC will be able to correct the spelling mistake/ change name during the correction period by login to the JEE Main 2022 website.

Corrections Allowed in the Form in JEE Main Correction window

Candidates will be able to change the following particulars/details in their application form during the correction window.

  • Name: Candidates can edit/change their name in the uploaded JEE Main application form as per their Class 10 mark-sheet.
  • Photo/Image: You can make changes to the uploaded photograph and signatures. NTA has recently announced that photographs without name and date will be accepted.
  • Paper: Candidates will be allowed to change the choice of papers in JEE Main 2022 exam, or opt for both papers. Any extra amount that may arise as a result of a change of option has to be paid at the time of making the corrections.
  • Category: According to the information, candidates will be able to change their category from SC/ST/Girls/PwD to General/OBC NCL. An additional fee might be charged.
  • Language: Aspirants can change the medium of examination from English to Hindi/Gujarati.
  • Aadhaar number: Like last year, candidates will be able to update their Aadhaar card numbers.
  • Date of Birth: The date of birth can be edited/changed as per the candidate’s Class 10 mark-sheet.
  • Communication address: Aspirants will be able to edit/change/update their address of communication.
  • Contact number: The contact number filled by candidates in JEE Main application form can be edited/changed/updated.

Details you CAN NOT edit using JEE Main Correction window

  • JEE Main correction in examination mode: If available, candidates will be allowed to switch from pen and paper-based mode to computer-based mode. But students will NOT be able to change the mode from computer-based to pen and paper-based mode.
  • Additional fees for JEE Main correction in application fees

NTA may charge additional fees for students:

  1. Who change their category from SC/ST/Girls/PwD to General/OBC NCL
  2. Who opts for Paper 2 in addition to Paper 1?

Candidates will have to pay the balance fee after deducting the application fees paid earlier from the fees to be paid now. The application fee for the reserved category is lesser as compared to the fees paid by General category students. Thus, reserved category students will be required to pay the balance fee.

The fee refund for JEE Main correction in application fees

  • Aspirants who opt for both JEE Main 2022 Paper 1 and 2 earlier but now want to appear only in any of the papers will not receive any refund of fees.
  • NTA will release the exam dates and shifts for JEE Main 2022 exam February, March, April & May exams. NTA will conduct JEE Main exam four times a year. Check JEE Main 2022 important dates here.
  • The first shift will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm while the second shift will be from 3 pm to 6 pm.

No all the deemed Universities don't ask for JEE marks they just need that you have appeared in JEE exams. They don't ask for marks for JEE. But some deemed Universities ask for JEE scores for admission in engineering field in any department.

Some fields of data are not correctable but some are. When the window opens, NTA will invariably announce it via news items in different newspapers about the same. You then need to log in using your existing id/ pw and go ahead with correction. It's very simple and user-friendly utility and I am sure that you will be able to effect changes they you desire. Hello Ansiya, Every student enrolled in the IISERs was eligible to receive the Rs-80,000 scholarship provided their academic performance was satisfactory, I. e. if they maintained an annual GPA of 6.0 and above on a 10-point scale.

Yes, for admission into IITs, NITs, CFTIs the score that candidates have secured in their class 12 board exam will be taken into account. In this, candidates should have passed their exam with a minimum of 75 percent and for SC/ST it should be 65 percent.

The cutoff varies branches wise and also category wise. As a general category for top branch like CSE you require more than 270 to get admission in IIIT Hyderabad. You should score more than 220 marks to get into IIIT Hyderabad (other branches).
