Hello Sandeep, engineering colleges in Maharashtra give admission based on the performance of the student in the entrance exam that is conducted by the state of Maharashtra called MHT CET. However as the admission process begins the state announces the quota called all India quota for the students to take admission who may not be domiciled in Maharashtra. For these students the criteria is the ranking in JEE Mains. But I am afraid the quota gets published only at the last moment and it is not available presently. But even to get admission under this you need to register yourself in the admission process that has begin centrally by the directorate of technical education of the Maharashtra government. Hello Rakhee, you are saying that you have cracked JEE Mains also you are scores in 10th and 12th which are above 80% or definitely good. But if your intention is to become an English professor why do you want to go in for B.Sc. You should take admission to a course in Bachelor of arts with English as a major subject and then proceed to do your post graduation in the same subject. With this you will be eligible for teaching in a college. Then you can even think of doing doctorate in English. Let me assure you that at least in today's environment there is a really big demand for good English teachers and I am sure you will not regret your decision of going and for post graduation in English language rather than doing your B.Sc.
