If you believe in yourself that you will improve in a year and you can improve your marks then you must drop a year. But remember that one year is a very long time. Students can't concentrate on their studies (sometimes not in all cases) properly because they are in their homes for 24 hours. If you utilize your one year properly and concentrate on your studies then you will definitely get high marks in JEE Mains.
If you don't want to drop then you can go for private colleges or state level colleges. You must analyse your family financial conditions as well. I would suggest you to think about your future regarding the financial conditio

Hello,
If you are unable to clear JEE Mains it doesn't mean you can't get admission in any college. Try to go for state-level counselling based on your JEE rank and marks in top private colleges. You will not get any government college in anywhere because you haven't cleared JEE Mains cut off based on your category.

Yes, with the marks of JEE you can take admission anywhere in India because in every state there are some reserved seats for other state candidates so if you want to take admission in any other state, go through their counselling procedure and get a college based on your rank with other state domicile quote.
All the best.

No, you can't take admission this year with the marks of last year JEE examination because the score of JEE is only valid for 1 year and since this is the 2nd year so you are not eligible to take admission with previous year marks. Try to get admission in private college with your 12th marks examination via counselling rounds.

Hello Chowdary,
The AIR cut-off All India Rank in DAIICT is 15K for general category. So you have less chances of admission if you belong to the general category, admission is also provided on the basis of GUJCET score, so your ACPC rank should be less than 450 approximately. For admission to B.Tech in ICT, your rank should be less than 10K AIR, and admission is not offered on the basis of EAMCET.
Hope this helps.
All the best.

Basically, here admission is mainly based on JEE score. But from 2018 Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology will also accept UCEED score for B.Tech.
So, if you are Delhi candidate then you can get admission in here based on your UCEED score because IIIT Delhi gives admission in Bachelor's programme for COMPUTER SCIENCE & DESIGN (B.Tech in CSD) through UCEED to a DELHI candidate only.
UCEED 2017 closing ranks for IIIT Delhi for different categories :-
CRL : 988 (Open Rank List)
OBC-NCL : 125 (OBC Rank List)
SC : 43 (SC Rank List)
ST : nil (ST Rank List)
OBC -NCL PwD : nil (PwD Rank Lists)
