Getting a Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) seat in a centrally funded government college (like NITs or IIITs) through CSAB counseling with a 3 Lacs CRL (and 1.1 Lacs OBC-NCL Rank) is highly unlikely.

Absolutely yes, most engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh admit students through Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, which is the state-level entrance exam. You do not need JEE to get into reputed colleges like JNTUK, Andhra University College of Engineering, or SRM University AP. Andhra Pradesh EAMCET is conducted every year and covers Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. So if JEE did not go well, do not panic, Andhra Pradesh EAMCET is your best shot at a good engineering seat in the state.

Yes, Pune has several good private engineering colleges that accept MHT CET scores even if your JEE rank is not very high. Colleges like Symbiosis Institute of Technology and MIT-WPU are popular choices. Admissions are mostly based on state-level entrance exams. So a low JEE score does not mean you have to compromise on quality.

No, JEE is not required for NMIMS Navi Mumbai admissions. The university much like other NMIMS campuses accepts NMIMS CET/ NPAT/ NLAT or SAT/ ACT for admission to its courses. For BTech and BTech + MBA admissions, NMIMS CET/ SAT/ ACT are required. JEE Main is neither accepted nor required.

Yes indeed, there are many private colleges in Jaipur accepting candidates with low and no JEE scores. Like Poornima University, JECRC University and Jaipur National University are few of the private colleges accepting candidates with low JEE scores. But for Government MNIT, you need a good JEE main score. So even if your score is low you are definitely above par in Jaipur.

Yes, many top private colleges accept their own entrance exams instead of JEE Main or Advanced. BITS Pilani uses BITSAT, VIT uses VITEEE, and SRM uses SRMJEEE. This means students who did not score well in JEE still have a real chance at quality engineering education. Each exam has a different pattern, so separate preparation is needed for each one.

Yes, Heritage Institute of Technology does accept JEE Main score for admission to its BTech programme. The institute releases separate cutoffs for JEE-based admissions. However, only 10% of the BTech intake is filled via JEE. The majority of seats (80%) are through WBJEE. Remaining 10% are for management quota.

With a 77 percentile in JEE Main, getting into Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is possible, but the branch will depend on the admission round and seat availability.

CSE and other top branches are unlikely at this percentile, but branches like Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Biotechnology, or Electronics-related branches may still be possible in later rounds. If you're also eligible through the board-based admission route, your chances can improve.
