Bachelor of Arts (B.A. ) English with Journalism is a 3 years graduate degree programme, the minimum eligibility is 12th passed from a recognised school board or its equivalent exam. Yes you can definitely go for a course in Journalism from college of repute like Indraprastha College for Women, New Delhi,St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, LPU, AP and check the academic excellence before you plunge for a change of career.
The college should offer you a wide platform and good exposure to show case your talent, like LPU holds many important events and trains the students on campus and helps them with tie ups important for their career. Similarly Indraprastha also offers good exposure.
