10+2 is the basic qualification for pursuing most of the PR and journalism courses. There are certificate courses which don't have credibility. I would not advise you to go for those certificate courses.

You have completed your graduation with maths. Now, don't be confused. Both the fields you have mentioned are completely different. So, choose the one in which you see your future. If you see yourself as a journalist in future, then go for it. And if you want to be in business related field, then pursue MBA.

If the subject in which you have got compartment was a additional one than there is no barrier for you to apply. But if it was your main subject, you need to clear your compartment with good marks. Otherwise, your admission in the college will not be valid and would be canceled.
