The advent of so many new platforms, such as The Logical India, Scroll, SaddaHaq, and the traction that these platforms are gaining is a sign of that. In fact, look at the number of foreign players vying for journalism space in India - Huffington Post, Mashable, Quartz already have operations and a few more are planning to start operations soon. The challenge, however, is what impact journalism is able to make. At this time, thanks to the stupidity of the Internet, it is all about "top x things that blow your mind&get;" which doesn't add real value. Unfortunately, many new platforms are trying to fight for that "viral" space, which will most likely die out in a few years. Real journalism platforms will be those that add real value to people. If journalism platforms can do this, then they will be in play in the long run.
