Journalism and mass communication degree holders are required in every sectors- government sectors, corporate sectors, private sectors, commercial sectors, media organizations etc. A person can work as a public relation officer, advertiser, director, script writer, photographer, video/photo editor, news editor, content writer, news anchor, journalist, reporter, translator and many more. It doesn't matter if you are in India, Australia, US, Canada or China the value of this field will remain same and the highest everywhere. According to me, you should pursue both the courses separately. You can start with Bachelor's degree in the journalism BA/ B.Sc. Then go for Masters in the same. But it will take a long time. If you are comfortable with this than go ahead. Moreover, instead of going for full-time Bachelors course, you can do it by distance mode or you may also pursue certificate course/Diploma in journalism. This generally takes from a month to one year.

Admission in a 3-year full-time degree course of journalism and mass communication. You may choose any of the degree course I. e. B.Sc/B.A/BJMC. After this, you can go for a Master's degree programme and this is for two years or you can directly go for the admission to Masters degree.

Candidate with 50% marks at graduation level is applicable for the admission. University conducts an entrance test, that student must have to clear. The placement status of the college is good. The highest package offered is 7.5 LPA (approximately). It is said by one of the students that recently 65 students have been placed by the college. It has a list of reputed recruiters. It is considered good in terms of faculty, infrastructure, environment etc.

Profession of mass communication and journalism requires a big bucket of knowledge. So before buying books your first focus should be collecting as much as knowledge you can, that is possible if you daily read newspapers ad read simple NCERT books. Apart from this here I am suggesting some important books so that you can prepare yourself for journalism and mass communication entrance exams.
