DU colleges are good. JMI is also good and SGT is okay.
Private universities are best as they provide valued exposure to the industry and give internship and job placements in leading media houses. Eg : Symbiosis, Pune; Amity, Noida etc.

The entrance tests are based on basic awareness of current affairs and media domain. They also check your English language skills. Reasoning may also be a part. Basically, knowledge of media and general knowledge is checked.

To become a journalist you can pursue a Bachelor's in mass communication/ mass media/journalism after 12th. After completion in a related graduation field, you can pursue Master's in journalism or mass communication. A graduate (who has a flair for writing) from any other field can also opt for a postgraduate course in journalism.
