From my point of view, Noida is not a very wise option to pursue engineering and if you are going for a private institution in Noida, JIIT is good. Otherwise, every college is average or below average. You can opt for a better college in any other region.

If you want to know about the cut-off for CS in JSS then it is 6,000 rank (general) and it varies by 500 rank every year so range will 5.5 thousand-6.5 thousand rank.
For placement in JSS, CSE is on the top and the highest in campus placement. For CSE, Rs 12 lakhs per annum till January is the highest package offered.

Admission in JSS Noida for engineering degree courses is based on the results of UPSEE conducted by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh). You may apply online for UPSEE 2017. Admission application process is currently on and us open till 5th March 2017.

Anjali, please provide more details so that i can answer your question properly. Please mention the list of colleges you are talking about so that I can sort out the best engineering college for you. But for general, IITs are at the top and followed by NITs and BITs.

With GATE examination in electrical engineering you will become eligible for M Tech in area of your interest in the field of electrical engineering which will help you provide a good technical opportunities in field of electrical engineering. With GATE score you can seek job in lot of PSUs as an engineer or management trainee.

Both are good in JSS but please go with your interest just go through the syllabus / curriculum of both . First of all you should think and do some research about yourself . What excite you most , what you want to do in your life ,your aim . It depends on you what you like ,so please consider your interest not the placements ,faculty and other Stuffs. Please go with your interest . Scope of mechanical is good but in terms of placement in JSS Noida its not that good, only fraction of class students get placed through campus this time few that visited for mechies are Honda , Anglo-Eastern ,some designing related(Auto CAD, Solidworks)etc.
