JIIT noida does not offer mechanical .
JSS and JIIT both are good but difference is in crowd. In JIIT you will find some of the riches, but in JSS most of student are from different parts of UP.

As for mechanical guy software like auto cad ,catia , pro-e creo ,etc are important . Till now i have worked with pro-e creeo only . And looking to try my hand on catia soon.

For diploma holder there is different entry (lateral entry). Diploma holder get chance to get admission directly in 2nd year. And there is different admission procedure. There is entrance exam which you have to give and your percentage should be good.

Fee of JSSATEN is about 1.3 lakhs for 1st year and later it is about 1.1 lakhs

Placements are not that good for mechanical . But most of the students of ME go for GATE exam then to PSUs or for further studies(m.tech)
