The admission prospects to HBTU Kanpur remain unsure because your CRL rank stands at 76587 while your EWS rank is 12525. The 20% female student reservation created a possible admission advantage in your case because you are an applicant from the female gender. The ranks needed for admission under the EWS category last year ranged from 10,000 to 15,000 based on different engineering branches. Due to your EWS rank, you could pursue admission in Chemical Engineering Biotechnology or Food Technology. Your admission decision will depend on various admission factors and the current number of applicants despite the expected changes to cutoff

Yes, you may join Kanpur Institute of Technology without JEE Main, but with direct admission against vacant seats only, which account for 15% of total seats under management/NRI quota. Otherwise, admission is by entrance examinations like JEE Main, JEECUP, or CUET (NTA), as the case may be, based on the course. For B.Tech courses like IT, JEE Main is necessary, and for Diploma courses like Civil Engineering, JEECUP is necessary.

Hello Rishabh,Yes, you can take admission in B.Tech at PSIT Kanpur even if you have less than 60% in 10th and 12th, but this mostly depends on the specific eligibility criteria laid out by the institute for that year of admission. Many private colleges including PSIT grant admission mainly based on entrance exam score along with JEE Main or their own entrance test. Even some branches require less than 60%, but it will be best you check directly with the college for the latest criteria.

Don't worry too much; there will always be a way out. All the best!
