Admission to some courses is entrance-based and some is merit-based. The university conducts KEE for shortlisting aspirants for BSc (Hons) Agriculture and BTech courses. MBA candidates are shortlisted based on the KMAT exam. And for other courses admission is merit-based as per the last qualifying exam.Students can chekc the list of course selection criteria from the table presented below:

Karunya University admissions are completely based on merit and entrance exam scores. For UG courses, candidates a must pass Class 12 and PG courses, candidates must complete graduation. The selection of admission is confirmed on entrance exam scores/merit-based, verification of the original mark sheet, community certificate and other relevant documents.

No, the Karunya Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is not compulsory to get admissions into the MBA course at Karunya University. Candidates with valid scores on the CAT/ MAT/ XAT (minimum MAT Score - 400 or CAT/ XAT- 50 percentile) can also get admission into MBA courses. Therefore, KMAT can be considered as one of the competitive exams for admission to MBA courses. However, not the compulsory one.

Selection for all Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programs will follow a two-step process:
The Karunya University BTech application process follows a two-step process. In the first step, candidates are required to register, appear, and secure valid scores in KEE. Further, in the second application process, candidates who qualified for the KEE 2025 will participate in the counseling process through Single Window Counseling. This centralized counseling process will determine the final programme allocation based on merit and seat availability.
