Several job opportunities are available for B.F.Sc. graduates in the government as well as the private sector. Talking about the government sector, the prime recruiters are Fisheries Development Boards (State-wise), Food Department (State-wise), and Banks.
The Private sector offers much more job opportunities. B.F.Sc. graduates usually get hired by the food processing and technology sector, fish breeding farms large and medium in size, aquariums, etc. The average starting salary in the case of graduates is between 2 and 4 Lakh rupees per year.
If one has entrepreneurship skills, one may even start his fish breeding or processing enterprise. Slowly, one may grow on and even export the product to other countries.
