According to me, CUSAT is better a choice for you.
As CUSAT is a national level college where as IEM is a state level college and the placement from CUSAT is far better than IEM-Kolkata.
Go for CUSAT.

Yes, I think you can get admission into this college because Netaji Engineering Colleges ranked after Techno India in West Bengal.

If you don't have any other option then you may go for this college, as the department of mechanical engineering is good for future.
