Every exam is as difficult or easy as the preparation of the candidate appearing for it. There are some subjects that are common to all entrance exams - legal aptitude, general awareness, English comprehension, numerical ability, etc. - for which preparation has to be done thoroughly irrespective of the exam that the candidate wishes to undertake. That being said, law entrance exams should not be taken lightly as there are Lacs of students competing for meager thousands of coveted seats.

Try and choose internships and apprenticeships under a reputed firm dealing in Intellectual Property Law in order to build a good CV and also to gain a practica

Faculty of Law is very strict in terms of attendance and rules have become even stricter in the last few years. Fewer teachers are willing to mark proxy for long term absentees and not having a minimum attendance disqualifies you from sitting for the exams. Hence, not attending classes regularly in DU can directly result in detention. When such detention is in the earlier semesters, one still has the option of covering up by sitting for those exams later. However, in the final year, missing attendance can lead to wastage on an entire academic year.

According to the Supreme Court's order of March 2017, any law aspirant can fill the application form for CLAT irrespective of their age. Hence, there is no age bar for CLAT application form hereon. However, CLAT is not a compulsory exam to do law. Only students who wish to pursue law from National Law Universities (and Universities that take law into consideration for admission) should sit for CLAT. Reputation of NLUs is par excellence and for all the right reasons. The curriculum is exhaustive and the placement scenario is much better than most other law college.
