For CSIR NET Life Science, you can earn 70 points in Part B and 100 points in Part C. Entrance Test (CUET) scores for admission to its UG/Integrated courses. Hence, it is compulsory to give the NTA CUET-UG exam to be eligible for admission to UG/Integrated courses. For PG/Diploma courses, a merit list is prepared on the basis of an entrance exam conducted by Assam University.

Minimum of first class in Bachelor's degree in Physical, Chemical or Biological Sciences or in BE or B Tech degree is required. Then you have to give JAM or GATE entrance exam. The candidate will be short listed for test or interview based on their JAM score or GATE score.

You can prefer the course based on your interest. If you are good at learning scientific names and many key terminology you can get into B.Sc. Zoology and you can succeed in it or if you are interested in learning various life forms in plants and animals you can go with life sciences both are very good courses.

The B.Sc. (Hons) programme is better appropriate for students who want to study in-depth any of the major sciences Physics Chemistry mathematics, etc. ). On the other hand, if a student just wants a diverse and balanced Science education, B.Sc. (general) is the better option.

Msc Life Science is a two year post graduation course which includes subjects like microbiology , Ecology .
An aspirant requires a B.Sc. degree after 10+2 with major /Hons in life sciences and any other related life science discipline like bioscience /Botany /zoology ,they become eligible for this course. Some colleges grant admission on the basis of an entrance exam whereas some grant admission on the basis of merit and marks obtained in the graduation. The applicant must have completed a B.Sc degree of a subject relevant to life science with a minimum aggregate of 50% .
