LPU is ranked the best private university by ASSOCHAM in 2017 and ranked among top 40 B-schools by NIRF. Faculty in our department is well-experienced and have expert knowledge who work on our skill enhancement. There are lots of career opportunities after MBA in different areas. The university also gives us the opportunity to get real-life exposure through various training programs and an internship, which is mandatory for all. Professors go for value-based education which is something we as professionals would require in our career. Guest lectures by experts and some really successful people are arranged by our department to widen our scope of learning. The placements are exemplary. Many of my known alumni are placed in decent companies in different cities, while some are placed abroad, too. Industrial exposure is offered through in-house training programs. The university organizes many external workshops for us. The package provided by on-campus jobs is also satisfactory. The university environment is pretty decent with high-tech security. They also organize regular interactive one-on-one sessions with experts where we can discuss our views and share our doubts and problems.

Choosing a college or University, a lot of factors are considered like ranking, infrastructure, curriculum, pedagogy, Faculty and most importantly, placements. JERC, Poornima and LPU are the renowned names in the Education Sector and both the institutes have their own place. But if talk of placements, LPU is one of the top names. As per my experience over there, LPU is not only good for placements but also known for its best infrastructure, innovative pedagogy, Industry focused Academics, and industry tie ups. Renowned companies like Amazon, Cognizant, Bosch, Capgemini, Trident, Hitachi, Josh, Xerox, CTS, Verizon and Tech Mahindra come for the campus recruitment. LPU alumni are working with top Fortune 500 companies like Google, Apple, Yahoo, Microsoft, Bank of America etc., with packages of over 1 crore. Therefore, I strongly recommend LPU over the other two.

LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every one of the eligible students to secure good placement. The university has been ranked highly by foreign agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Several big brands of the industry have visited the LPU campus during the academic session 2016-2017 for campus placements like Cvent, E-litmus, Talwar and Talwar Consultants, Roots Analysis Private Limited, etc. LPU students have also availed opportunities of Placements in government services like the Indian Army, the Indian Navy, Transport Corporation of India, etc., through on-campus/off-campus placement drives and SSB Interviews. Most of the companies have made us the regional hub for joint campuses.

The curriculum taught incorporates specific courses (subjects) under the notion of Professional Enhancement Programmes (PEP) in which the students are prepared to crack the placement processes. PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in the form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester covering: Analytical Skills (Logic Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning) Quantitative Aptitude Skills Technical Aptitude Skills Presentations and Soft Skills Mock Exercises (Mock Interviews, GDs, Mock Tests, etc.).

The BA (Hons.) Political Science at LPU is a three-year, six semester undergraduate programme covering core areas such as political theory, Indian government, Western thought, comparative politics, public administration, international relations and contemporary issues. Students also engage in electives like research methodology, gender studies, conflict resolution and internships. The course is structured to develop analytical, communication and critical thinking skills, with exposure to seminars, guest lectures and field projects. Admission requires at least 50–60% in class 12 and may include LPUNEST. Placements average 5–7 LPA, with internships in NGOs, think tanks, media and civil service prep support.
