LPU does have options for non‑vegetarian food, but the main hosteller messes are vegetarian and run by the university. For non‑veg meals, students usually rely on an external food‑vendor‑run non‑veg mess and multiple food‑court outlets located around and just outside the campus. These non‑veg services are managed independently and are not part of the core LPU mess plan, so students who prefer non‑veg generally opt for those dedicated outlets or nearby eateries.

Placements at the university are generally considered strong, with a large number of companies visiting each year across IT, core, and management domains. Many students receive offers in the range of single‑digit to mid‑teens LPA, while a smaller group with strong skills and profiles secures packages in higher brackets, including crore‑plus offers in some cases. Actual placement and salary depend heavily on the branch, individual performance, internships, and preparation level.

The animation department at LPU has modern labs, up-to-date software, and creative studios that let students learn through practice in 2D and 3D animation, VFX, gaming, and multimedia production. Students work on hands-on projects, build portfolios, and develop skills needed in the industry.

The programme includes Animation, VFX, Gaming, Graphic Design, and Multimedia, so students can choose from several creative career options. LPU also offers Study Grants based on merit and eligibility, which lower the total fees and make the course more affordable.

Your choice depends on your interests. If you prefer management, leadership, or business roles, an MBA from a place like IIM is a good fit. If you want to focus on technical skills and research, an M.Tech from an institute like IIT is better. Both options are respected, so think about whether you see yourself in corporate management or core engineering.LPU's MBA programme offers specialisations in Finance, Marketing, HR, Business Analytics, and International Business, with strong industry exposure. The campus is diverse, with students from India and over 50 countries. This creates a global learning environment that enriches academic an

The main difference between these two programmes is the length of study and depth of creative study-
BSc in Animation (3 years): It is a technical course with a strong emphasis on execution in animation and visual effects.
BDes in Animation (4 years): A more general course with a strong emphasis on creative thinking and artistic theory. While technical skills are taught, there is an extra year to explore the "art" of storytelling and conceptualisation in detail.
In summary, a BSc in Animation is more technical, whereas a BDes in Animation is more on the creative side.

LPU offers different paths for students interested in animation, depending on the level of depth they want. The B.Sc. in Animation and VFX Design is a three-year undergraduate programme divided into six semesters. If you prefer a more design-focused approach, the B.Design (B.Des.) in Animation and VFX takes four years to complete. For those who have already finished their graduation, LPU also provides a two-year M.Sc. in Animation and VFX Design. Each of these full-time, on-campus programmes is structured to take students from basic drawing skills to advanced digital production.
