In order to get admission in CSE there is an eligibility criteria that needs to be fulfilled by the student.
For B.Tech(CSE) the eligibility includes 60% in 10+2 with (English , Physics & Mathematics ) + LPUNEST.
For B.Tech CSE(Hons) 70% in 10+2 with (English , Physics & Mathematics )+ LPUNEST.
The candidates have to appear for LPUNEST.
In order to take admission in LPU you need to appear for LPUNEST exam. The test is an objective test and the structure of the test depends upon the course that you are intending to take admission. LPUNEST exam time also depends upon the course that you wish to take admission. For B.Tech courses even the previous year sample test can be downloaded from the LPU website. LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. in which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. per annum by Microsoft.
LPU has a very good placement and achieved awards for employability also. The main thing for placement that I liked there is that LPU provides placement classes to the students from the first year, which helps students prepare for placement until their final year of the program.

Being LPU alumni I would recommend B.Tech Mechanical from LPU, I am sharing my friend review regarding this course, His experience at LPU was amazing, Currently he is working with XL Dynamics with decent package. As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. This would be true for any university you enroll in. Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure. University organized International Go kart Championship which is a student initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. School of Mechanical Engineering organized an International Conference on Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (ICRAME), in which experts from leading brands like Maruti Suzuki, Biomimicry India were present. University give you a very good amount of training before you go into campus placements. Try not to miss those classes they will help you in getting better placements, after all, all we need is a decent place with good exposure. I shouldn't even have to explain this one. The curriculum has been designed in such a way that it makes it easier for the students to prepare themselves for giant exams like CSIR NET ICMR, ICAR, and GATE.
