It is certainly possible to pursue Masters in Psychology, even though you have obtained Bachelor's degree in some other field. Most of the people who apply for Master's degree come from varied field and this creates mélange of student coming from different field and sharing knowledge and helping other to gain further insight. You need to research a bit about such universities.

Yes, of course, it will help you. Psychology and counselling are interrelated and interdependent. They both go hand in hand. So yes, it is a great course to be pursued if you want to go ahead as a counsellor.

The eligibility is Mandatory Courses: B.A., B.Sc.
50% seats will be filled through B.A./B.Sc. course with psychology as one of the paper or specialization and remaining 50% seats to any other degree recognized by Andhra University.
