To be eligible for admission to MA programs at Jadavpur University, applicants must meet the following common criteria:
- Have completed a 3-year Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university
- Obtain at least 50% marks (45% for PD/OBC-A/OBC-B category and 40% for SC/ST category) in Honours/Major papers
- In case Honours/Major is not specified/mentioned in the mark-sheet, the applicant is not eligible
- For candidates under SC/ST category from states other than West Bengal, they must produce a domicile certificate for residing in West Bengal for at least 10 years issued by the competent authority
- For candidates under OBC-A and OBC-B
