According to NLIU NIRF report 2024, the key highlights of PG 2-year placements 2023 as compared with 2022 and 2021 are presented below:

NSOU provides several MA specialisations, including Bengali, English, English Language Teaching, History, Political Science, Public Administration, and Education. Eligibility for these programmes varies; for example, candidates must have a BA or equivalent in the relevant stream from a recognised university to pursue an MA in Bengali. Similarly, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Education to pursue an MA in Education.Ed/B.Ed (Special Education) from a recognised university.

The university has recorded a 97% hiring rate during GIET Gunupur placements 2023. Furthermore, a total of 1,043 offers were made during placements 2023. However, as per NIRF report 2023, the median package offered to BTech and MTech   and MA students was INR 4.71 LPA and INR 5.10 LPA during the placements 2022, respectively. Many top recruiters visited the campus such as IBM, Capgemini, TCS, PwC among others during the placement drive 2023. 

120 seats are offered by Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET) University for the Master of Arts program. However, Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET) University offers a Master of Arts program in four different specialization including Master of Arts in English, Master of Arts in Education, Master of Arts in Sociology, and Master of Arts in Economics, each specialization has 30 seats.

BRAOU admission for a two-year postgraduate MA course is open to all the citizens of India who hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an Indian University which is recognised by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at later stages of admission. The selection for MA will be based on merit in the last qualifying exam.

Dr BR Ambedkar Open University MA admission is done on the basis of a candidate's performance in the bachelor’s degree exam. The final seat allocation process is carried out in the order of merit of the applicants and seat availability. Candidates are required to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University offers 7 specialisations under its MA course. Given below is the complete list of specialisations offered under YCMOU MA course: 

Visva Bharati University offers MA programme across 27 specialisations via its Bhasha- Bhavana (Institute of Languages, Literature and Culture), Vidya Bhavana (Institute of Humanities & Social Sciences), Palli Samgathana Vibhaga (Institute of Rural Reconstruction) and Vinaya Bhavana (Institute of Education). Admission to all these is subject to merit in the last qualifying exams, i.e. UG degree except for ‘Comparative Literature’ and ‘Education’ specialisation.
