Bethune College offers two-year, semi-autonomous PG courses affiliated to the University of Calcutta. It provides an M.A. degree with English and Bengali specialisations while an M.Sc. degree is provided in Mathematics, Botany and Zoology. In addition, the college also offers M.A./M.Sc. degree in Applied Psychology.
Bethune College accepts admission for the PG courses on the basis of merit for 60% of seats reserved for students from Calcutta University (CU) only, while the selection for the remaining 40% of seats is done via admission test.

About course: For the candidates who have completed Bachelors degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks with 10+2+3 system, DBS College offers full-time Master of Arts (M.A) and Master of Science (M.Sc). Duration of these courses is of two years. Candidates with minimum 3 years Bachelors Degree related to Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics with 50% marks are eligible to take admission to Colleges M.Sc course. Admission to M.Sc is based on Entrance Exam conducted by the University. Admission to M.A is based on Marks obtained in the qualifying examination
