2 courses are offered by the institute. They are MA in International Studies and MA in African Studies (Geo-economics and Foreign Policy). The seat intake of MA in International Studies is 30 and the seat intake of MA in African Studies (Geo-economics and Foreign Policy) is not confirmed but it may also be approximately similar. The minimum cutoff for MA at Manipal Institute of communication is not mentioned by the Institute. The cutoff will be released after the entrance exam will be conducted. The cutoff varies every year. The Institute will release the cutoff based on the number of seats intake and applications. So if the seat intake is less, the students will need a good or favorable score in the entrance exam and if the seat intake is high, then a decent score will also be okay in order to get the admission. Although the seat intake for 2024 admissions is still not mentioned by the Institute.

At Manipal Institute of communication, M.A. has better placement than B.Sc. This is because MA is a PG course and PG courses have better placements than UG courses. The salary packages of PG courses are also better. In the 2022 placement drive, the median package offered to PG students was 7 LPA and UG students were offered 3.5 LPA  average package. The Masters students have a better knowledge than the UG students because of internships etc. But for doing MA, a graduation degree with minimum 45 perfect is required. In UG courses 62 out of 135 students were placed. While in PG courses, 33 out of 54 students were placed. So the rat

Yes, Manipal Institute of communication is a good option to pursue M.A. There are two specialities available in this course:-

  1. MA in media and communication.
  2. MA in film art and film making.

Both these specialities have a good scope in future and students can make a good career in those field. The salary package offered in this course is also good. The median salary which was offered for this course was 7LPA. So choosing MA from this Institute will not be a bad idea for any students, seeing all other factors like faculty, infrastructure etc.
