Yes, you can open a clinic or nursing home after completing your MD, provided you meet the legal and infrastructural guidelines set by the local health authorities.
An MD degree also strengthens your credibility as a specialist. While opening a full-scale hospital may require partnerships, infrastructure, and licenses, starting your own specialty clinic is a common and viable option.

No, the MD course in India cannot be pursued via distance or online mode. It is a full-time, practical-intensive postgraduate programme regulated by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
It involves hospital rotations, clinical practice, and hands-on training under supervision. Any MD degree pursued via non-traditional modes will not be recognised or valid for medical practice or employment in India.

No, you cannot pursue MD directly after 12th. MD is a PG medical degree that can only be pursued after completing an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery).
After your 12th with PCB subjects, you must clear NEET-UG, complete the 5.5-year MBBS course, and then qualify for NEET-PG to apply for MD in your chosen specialization.
