Apply for NIFT, get good rank and chose preferences of NIFT College near you like Chennai or Bengaluru. You can also apply CEED or NID for M.Des. There is one more college in Chennai which is good-DJ acedemy of art and design.

M.Tech in Automobile Engineering (M.Tech AME) is a postgraduate course in designing, manufacturing and operating automobiles. The minimum eligibility for this course requires passing BE/B.Tech in Automobile/Industrial Production/ Manufacturing/ Mechanical/Mechatronics from a recognized university.

I don't know about CEED, but if we get in UCEED we have chances in IIITs.

GLS Institute of Design is a decent college with good placements, to know the exact scenario for faculty and placements get in touch with the current students through social media or in person.

You shall have to check if the college has extended the last date. Many colleges out some amount of fine for late application deposit. In case the date has not extended, there is no chance to appear for the entrance test. You can still confirm the same from the exam conducting body once. It will be good if you could name the exam for better understanding.
