This is common dilemma faced by majority of engineering graduates in final year of their studies. If you are technically inclined and want to make career in the technical field then it is advisable to do M.Tech/MS. If you want to be a generalist then MBA is better option. Nowadays Technical specialists are paid very well and sometimes more than Management graduates. Equal growth opportunities are available for both M.Tech and MBA graduates.

Hi Achanta, a 71% in B.Tech is a decent aggregate. However any university/college in the USA assess the applicants for an MS in Automobile engineering also with respect to their GRE of 310+, projects done in the B.Tech, paper presentations, etc., As the number of seats per university is less, the competition is extremely high. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Dear Kunal, the question you have asked is very interesting & I am sure everyone knows the answer - If its Automobile it should be Germany as that is the place with lots of opportunities & education too is free of cost. The number of universities is not that large thus you need strong Academics & high GRE scores to get accepted in German Universities besides knowing up to 2-3 levels of German. You have good courses for Mechanical too at German Universities.
While US has no dearth of opportunities & the number of Universities is largest, you need high/decent GRE to have a university & grab a couple of Aids/Scholarships for the courses bo
