The main difference between Biotechnology and Bioinformatics is that the former uses technology to study biological science, while the latter uses genetic engineering to create pharmaceutical drugs, transgenic plants and animals, vaccines, and recombination proteins.
However, they are engaged in both research and the production of these innovations. In contrast, bioinformatics is concerned with information technology and biological sciences. DNA sequencing is one of these; bio-bioinformatics also involves the use of software tools for protein modeling and drug design.
