Hello,
Both are the emerging fields in India. Both the fields are good to appear in UGC NET exam. If your passion is teaching then you must appear and qualify in UGC NET. The exam is conducted in month of June and December. As per the latest news the UGC NET has announced the results for the UGC NET 2017 Examination. If you are already pursuing Masters degree, then you can apply in result awaited category. To qualify this exam, it's essential for having the deep knowledge in your selected subject. I hope it helps.

The students should have minimum 50% marks as aggregate in the degree course. The students will have to pass entrance examination for admission in M.Sc. This is a rapidly developing field. Many private businesses are exploring this field and heavily investing in it. It is safe to say that there are ample job opportunities for Biotechnology graduates in private sector. Government sector too offers job opportunities, but not in the scale in which private sector does.

Lots of Government as well as Private job opportunities are present in front of Graduates. Talking about Government jobs, State Agriculture Departments recruits Graduates to fill up Officer level posts. Government Colleges also hires M.Sc. folks to work as Lecturers.
