The duration of this course is of 2 years for graduates with at least four years professional degree. Those with 3 years Bachelor's degree will undergo pre-requisite courses as decided by the Board of Studies and the duration will be 3 years. For distance education, the duration of the course is 2 years. However, the duration may vary according to college requirements. The admission is carried out using entrance exam as a medium in most of the cases. For some cases, an option for direct admission is also available where mode of admission is percentage obtained during graduation. Entrance Exams - All the institutes which go through an entrance exam, they ask candidates to fill the admission form online and submit it before time. The candidates are then required to go through the test which may or may not be an online test depending upon the preferred format of the institute. The candidates are then put on a waiting list after the declaration of results and the selection is made on the basis of the number of seats available. List of some entrance exams are:

Direct Admission- For direct admission, a candidate has to fill the required application form of the institute in which he/she wishes to pursue the course. The institute then consider the applicant on the basis of marks obtained during his/her academic career.
