Dear Nikita,
Yes DU conducts entrance for admission in M.SC Physics and after results cutoff is issued college wise and if you fall withing that then you can opt for admission.

UGC NET is conducted mainly to recruit research assistants and professors in various streams of education.
Qualifying Examination:
The candidates those who have completed their post graduation in related subjects can appear for the exam. Those who have acquired post graduation from any recognized university are eligible for applying UGC-NET exam. The candidate must have a minimum of 55%.
Age Qualification:
The candidates appearing for JRF should not be above 28 years of age. The candidates appearing only for lectureship have no upper age limit. Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC/ST/OBC or physically disabled or women o

Ambika, there are many good govt.and private universities around you that are offering M.Sc Botany.
In some of them you need to give entrance test for admission and in some its direct admission or admission based on merit.
Admissions in most of them have started so check their websites for more details.
