- In India, in order to teach in a school at the TGT/PGT level, it usually requires a B.Ed. degree. If you want to teach in a government school, you will need to clear exams like CTET/TET.
- To work as a professor/assistant professor in a college or a university, one needs to pass the National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Level Eligibility Test (SLET).
Although a master's degree is always preferred, in case you already have an M.Sc., it is a good starting point. Some institutions may value teaching or research experience in addition to qualifications.
