Once students have submitted the KLE Technological University MTech application form, they are required to visit the admissions office. They must carry a valid entrance test scorecard and other academic documents. Once the admissions committee has registered the student in the university's system, a fee challan gets generated. Students must submit the fee amount prescribed in the challan.

The part time M.Tech syllabus is not same across all the colleges. The syllabus for M Tech part time courses varies on the basis of the college and the specialisation chosen by you. Talking about the first year of part time MTech, the general subjects might be similar to provide you with some advanced level knowledge about a few advanced level engineering concepts. Rest, the subjects will depend on the respective specialization.

It is not compulsory for you to give an entrance exam for admission to part time M.Tech courses. There are a lot of colleges that give admission on the basis of marks secured in graduation. But, it is better if you give the exam as it may increase your chances of getting a top-ranked college for pursuing Part Time M.Tech for Working Professionals.

If you want to pursue part time M.Tech courses, you must have completed your BTech in a relevant Engineering discipline and got at least 55 to 60% marks. A lot of colleges give admission on the basis of marks obtained in graduation, while others may need valid entrance exam scores like that of GATE or university-specific exams.

Further, some colleges may also need at least 2 years of work experience and an NOC from the employer for you to pursue the Part time M.Tech for Working Professionals.

There is a lot of confusion among students regarding distance M.Tech learning and part time M.Tech courses for working professionals. To make things easy, the basic difference between the two is that distance M.Tech courses are completely invalid in India as they are not approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and UGC because of multiple reasons. One basic reason is zero practical exposure.
