Yes, you can get admission in DBS Global University M.Tech without GATE score. The university also accepts valid CUET-PG scores for M.Tech admission. Alternatively, students may appear for the university's entrance test.

This year, India Today ranked the institute 7th amongst Top 10 Private Engineering Colleges of India. It was ranked 11th among the top 175 Engineering colleges of the country and 9th among 125 Top Private engineering colleges of the country by Times of India. The Week ranked DJ Sanghvi at 11th among Top 246 Private Engineering Colleges of Super Excellence in India by CSR. Outlook India ranked it 120 among the top 160 engineering colleges of India. The Shivaji University MHTCET M.Tech Cutoff 2025 was published for admission to the M.Tech programmes for various categories under the Home State quota. The cutoff ranged from to 410 to 15.92, according to the first and last round closing percentiles for the General category students belonging to the Home State quota.

Yeah, you can 😄

You can do M.Tech without GATE at many private universities. Thapar University, for example, allows non-GATE candidates through its own selection process (based on academics, sometimes a test/interview).

That said, GATE is needed if you want top government institutes (IITs, NITs) or a stipend.
No GATE = private universities like Thapar, VIT, SRM, etc.

So yes — totally possible, just depends on where you want to study.

The basic eligibility requirement for the M.Tech programme IIT Kharagpur is pass in Class 12th with a min. of 75% aggregate, bachelor's degree holder with a 60% aggregate and the accepted entrance exams are GATE and others. Students must secure good marks in entrance tests to match the cut off released by the college.
