Hello Mari,
Even though your query is correct, in present circumstance it has become irrelevant. Till last year, admissions were based on entrance exam. Hence, cutoffs of previous years were some indicators for admission to current year. But from this year onwards, procedure has been changed. Admissions will be held on basis of marks obtained in 12th. So, cutoffs based on entrance exam have no value.

I don't think that Anna University (CEG) has Aeronautical Engineering. MIT has it though. With what I have gathered from my friends in MIT, the program seems to be quite good.

Hello Sanket,Its nice to know your dream of pursuing aeronautical engineering. But why from MIT Chennai? Unfortunately many states including Maharashtra and TN allow only domiciles of the state to seek admission in the seats in their respective states. Hence you will find yourself ineligible for admission in MIT Chennai. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about this issue. I suggest you seek admission an a college of Maharashtra .https://www.shiksha.com/university/anna-university/exams/tnea

Hello Abhay,
It is very nice to know your dream of pursuing engineering in aeronautical branch from Madras Institute of Technology. But unfortunately, majority of states in India restrict admissions to domiciles of the state and, hence it is almost impossible for students from other states to get admission. So is the case in Tamil Nadu. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about admissions in TN. https://www.shiksha.com/university/anna-university/exams/tnea

The percentage required for students from other state is same as the students from Tamil Nadu. But I could't find what is the exact percentage required. I would suggest you to directly contact them and ask the cut-off. Following is the link with contact details of MIT. http://www.mitindia.edu/en/contact-us.
