Even though your query is correct, in present circumstance it has become irrelevant. Till last year, admissions were based on entrance exam. Hence, cutoffs of previous years were some indicators for admission to current year. But from this year onwards, procedure has been changed. Admissions will be held on basis of marks obtained in 12th. So, cutoffs based on entrance exam have no value.

Madras Institute of Technology admissions are controlled by Anna University. There is a set procedure for admissions to foreign nationals. Basically, the student must have completed 12 years of education and should have obtained 50% marks in physics, chemistry and maths. Also student should be proficient in English language. Unfortunately many states including Maharashtra and TN allow only domiciles of the state to seek admission in the seats in their respective states.
