Admittance to any of GIBS Business School's PGDM/MBA programs is open to all students, and depending on which national-level examination (s) available for admissions you have taken (eg. CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT), your application will be evaluated. This provides you with flexibility in applying with multiple exam scores and will allow you to apply with your best overall score. You don't strictly need CAT to get into GIBS Business School. They accept both CAT and MAT scores, but even if you haven't appeared for them, you can still get admission through their direct admission or interview process.

  • CAT → accepted, helps in selection

  • MAT → also accepted, gives another option

  • No exam → possible through interview or direct admission

  • Focus on communication, confidence, and overall profile

In short, GIBS is flexible. You can join even without CAT or MAT if you perform well in the selection process.

The assessment methods at GIBS Business School are different from the typical assessment methods of writing tests. Instead, the institute uses practical and continuous evaluation techniques for measuring students' actual abilities and readiness to work in the industry.

Assessment Methods Other Than Written Tests

  • Students completing 'live' projects and internships will be assessed on their actual work with a company and how they performed in that work.
  • Students will have to give presentations and participate in seminars to demonstrate their ability to communicate effectively, their level of confidence, and how well they understand the subj
