Manhattan College has made it a general trend for Indian students to study courses like *Engineering* but particularly *Civil Engineering*, *Mechanical Engineering*, and *Computer Engineering*. Finding part-time jobs is certainly manageable. Students can easily find part time work on campus which can also help them in networking and cover their living expenses. Working on campus, students can work for 15 hours per week. Students can opt for a work-study programme where jobs are paid for by a government award. Work-study awards are required in order to be eligible for one of these positions. In campus employment, no federal work-study award is necessary for these positions. Getting into the college is not that difficult as it has an acceptance rate of around 82% and an open admission policy where tests such as SAT or ACT are not required for admission. The college does take into account a student's GPA in past academics, which should be a minimum of 3.4.
Other requirements include: transcripts, 1 LOR, Academic letters, a personal statement, or a college essay. Interviews are not mandatory and mainly conversational.
