Honestly, I don't know much about Manipal University, but Thapar Institute is one of the oldest institutes and according to me, is the best of all if considered for Engineering. This is my personal experience as 3 generations of my family is alumni from Thapar Institute. Therefore, I would suggest you, go for Thapar Institute, as you would also get more exposure and better guidance through their highly educated faculty members.

Best college for CSE is of course DTU. It is famous and also it is better than some IITs also. DTU can provide many facilities as Compared to other colleges.
