Hi Pranav, Photography is a field which will open up lot of possibilities for you, if you got the metal and have the passion and vision to see what others can't. Having said that, it is also one of the vastly exploited fields today with every other person with a camera opting to be a photographer and looking for shoots. (Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it is definitely generating more jobs in the editing department because of the quality of pictures coming in)
If you are serious about photography then there sure are various genres for you to venture into. To name a few;
1. Photojournalism
2. Product Photography

Hi Prerna!
In order to pursue mass communication, you will have to appear for a general aptitude test conducted by various institutes/universities. The test consists of 4 sections, namely Quantitative aptitude (Basic Maths), Logical Reasoning, English Language Comprehension and General awareness. This is an objective type question paper and might have negative marking too. Hi Ramchandra!
You can look out for government colleges if budget is a constraint for you. Mumbai University would be the best option in Mumbai. It offers both; Journalism as well as Visual communication. In Pune also, you can apply for admission in Department of Communication and Journalism, Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Hi Rashmi, Sound recording and mixing is a good career in itself, irrespective of the gender. It is more about the passion for the particular field as it is more of a behind the scene job. I can't give you a statistic to support this but being in various recording, mixing and editing studios myself, I can vouch that there is good blend of both the genders in all the various streams channeling out of Mass Communication. So if you really want to pursue this, do go ahead without any such doubts. Hope this helps!
