M.A. in Mass Communication generally has advertising as a part of its curriculum, but Jamia Milia has not made it clear in its syllabus. I would suggest you to either contact the college and inquire about it, or rather go for a specialized PGD course in advertising, PR and Corporate Communication. Some of the renowned colleges for this course in India include Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Xavier Institute of Communication, Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication, School of Broadcasting and Communication (Mumbai)

Jamia Milia Islamia is one the oldest and premier University In India. You should definitely apply for Mass Communication in JMI. The course is an integrated programme of various subjects that involve communication of message to large number of masses. The curriculum includes Print media, Electronic Media-TV and Radio, Online Media, Advertising, PR, Event Management, Media Research and alike.

If you have completed your Bachelors in Science, you should pursue a PG Diploma in mass communication. Graduate from any stream can pursue this course. Education Qualification : A student should possess Bachelors degree after 10+2+3. The stream in which he/she has attained the degree does't matter. Regards.

In order to prepare well for the SET exam, first you should be aware about the syllabus. There are totally 150 questions and the students are asked to complete the test within two and half hours. The five areas of the question are
English
Quantitative
General awareness
Analytical Reasoning
Logical Reasoning
Second, Time management is of utmost importance. Calculate the estimate time you are giving for preparations and divide it equally as per the syllabus. If in Kolkata, you can go for B.Sc in media science in lead. It is same as mass communication but will give you more knowledge about the media industry.

Not really. You can do Masters in mass communication also, but it is preferable to do UG as you get more in-depth knowledge about it.
