A Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or mass communications is required in order to become a news anchor. Internships or college newspaper experience can be extremely beneficial with this position. Apart from this, you must possess the following skills:
1. Excellent written and spoken skills
2. Ability to engage audiences and interact with reporters and guests
3. Persistence, physical stamina, objectivity, improvisation, teamwork, interviewing skills, knowledge of social media, professional image and attire, and experience with video editing software, teleprompters, and broadcast and newsroom equipment

Yes, PR is the best career for you it seems. Women do very well in PR. PR would top charts among equal employment opportunity sectors, countered Yadav. The creme de la creme of the industry in India and overseas are a well-balanced mixture of men and women. We do prefer women, admits Gopu, perhaps because many PR functions require soft skills commonly associated with women. After 18 years, it remains a challenge for me to recruit men to join our team. Hi Joginder, I would't say that the placements of National Institute of Mass Communication and journalism are average. The placement records of the said college have been great. A lot of reputed organisations in media have hired from this college including ABP news, Dainik Bhaskar, CNBC, Torque PR, ETV Gujarati, etc.
