Hi Avi,
The admission in Bachelor of mass media or Bachelor of journalism and mass communication is determined on the basis of your results in the entrance test, which is basically an aptitude test. A minimum of 50% in aggregate is required in 10+2 from a recognized board of education, to be eligible to apply for the entrance test. Hi Avi,
You need to clear your 10+2 from a recognised board of education and must have secured minimum 50% marks in order to be eligible for admission to St. Xavier college. The admission process comprises of a written aptitude test followed by an interview. The written test includes questions on General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Data Interpretation, Economics, English Language & Comprehension Skills, Logical Reasoning and Critical Analysis & Creative Thinking.

Hi Abhishek,
If your interest lies in media and you are confident about it, you should definitely pursue Mass Communication. It is a very promising and rewarding field. All candidates who hold a bachelors degree in any field, fulfill IIJNM entrance exam eligibility criteria for PGD programme. The forms are out in the month of March. Once you submit the online application, you will be intimated about the entrance exam date and Personal Interview date.

Hi Vishnu,
If you have completed your graduation in any discipline (10+2+3) with minimum 50 % marks in aggregate, you are eligible to apply for M.A. in Mass Communication in AJK Mass Communication Research Centre. The admission forms will be available online on the institute's website in the month of February. The application form might cost you around Rs. 500-700

Yes, anybody who is a graduate from a recognized university can apply for Post Graduation Diploma in Radio and Television Journalism. You will have to appear in a written entrance test and your performance in this test will determine your admission in the course.

Bachelor in Journalism is solely focused on journalism studies, both print and electronic. If your target is to become a reporter, correspondent, photojournalist, editor, feature writer etc, this is the right course for you.

Mass Communication is a wider term. It involves all the medium of communicating with the large number of people or masses. In Mass Communication or Mass Media, apart from journalism, you get to study advertising, Public Relations, Corporate Communication and New Media (Internet).
