It totally depends on your interest. First ask yourself that for which one, you are made for. First make a deep analysis of yourself and then you will observe certain special characteristics in yourself and then decide that those one are suitable for which stream. It's that simple.

The eligibility criteria for doing B.Sc in journalism is a 10+2 from a recognised board. Unfortunately, Diploma from Polytechnic is not treated equivalently to 10+2 by a majority of universities. You are advised to check with your targeted universities whether they allow Diploma holders to seek admission in B.Sc in journalism.

I would suggest instead of a diploma course opt for MBA in event management. It will help in getting jobs.

Important Advice- 11th has Media and Mass Communication Optionals now. Take those. Do Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism. We call them BJMC, BMM, B.Sc Mass Communication, etc. and not B.Com. I don't understand why B.Com was suggested. 12th through Arts and Media options will prepare you.
After Bachelor degree in Mass Communication, do Post Graduation in Mass Communication.
