To go for event management, you can do some crash courses and now that you are already doing a degree course, then you can also select some online courses for event management to learn from.

Dear Aditi,
BJMC stands for Bachelor in Journalism and Mass Communication. Journalism is about news which to gather and then spread to the world. On the other hand, mass communication involves a lot of other things such as event management, advertising, photography, Direction and a lot more.
You can do a crash course in one of these things, but if you talk about BJMC as a whole, I would suggest you to go for a degree course.

Hi Jimmy,
If you are looking for a part-time than you could try some of the online courses offered by different organizations.
1. http://www.shawacademy.com/?a_aid=56bad3c79ce5a
2. udemy.com (I did a certification program)
3. Coursera.com
For full time:
1. udaan.org.in
2. focusnip.com
3. Chitrakalaparishat - Bangalore (part of art curriculum).
Career prospects are good, now most the e-commerce sites are looking for talented photographers. Wedding photography, product design and marketing, etc.

You can Google the ones which are there in your area. Make a list and compare each one of them. Also, keep a note of the fees.

Opt for what you wish to do in the future. Speak to students who are studying both. Make a note of the pros and cons of both. Know the scope they have and then make a call.

okay well.the thing with event management is that you have to start from 0.literally the base.and then if you are good enough you can reach a peak.my dad is an event manager.he has been in this profession for 8 years and now he's earning pretty well ( in lakhs ) .
but he has got a low family life.his passport looks like a stamp book.he has travelled the whole world .its fun.event managing is fun but hectic at the same time.u hav to be on the sets and work.and aftr the event is done.u party hard at the venue.so every profession has its pros and cons.if u are brave enough go ahead.all the best.!!
