Hotel Management is an area of study that covers a wide range of topics concerned with the operational aspects of hoteliery. Educational courses in hotel management are varied and cover topics as wide ranging as marketing, eco-tourism, leisure, business administration and management.
However, Event Management is the application of project management to the creation and development of large scale events such as festivals, conferences, ceremonies, formal parties, concerts, or conventions. It involves studying the brand, identifying the target audience, devising the event concept, planning the logistics and coordinating the technical aspects before actually launching the event.
The process of planning and coordinating the event is usually referred to as event planning and can include budgeting, scheduling, site selection, acquiring necessary permits, coordinating transportation and parking, arranging for speakers or entertainers, arranging decor, event security, catering, etc.

Journalism has a lot of scope in the present scenario. From a small newspaper to a big news channel, journalists are considered the right hand of media and the transparent shield to connect the Government with the public. Journalism today is more than an art of writing as it includes creative submission of the mindset and skillful passion towards your approach of the subjects as it is one of the most competitive field in the market at present. The scope is endless but you'll have to begin from small. Depending on the colleges/institutes you choose, exposure you get, the practical knowledge you attain will define most of your further future. You can become a TV journalist, print journalist, radio journalist, fashion journalist, cyber journalist, editor, news writer, proof reader and much more after deciding your field of interest.

In order to pursue Mass communication, you can take up the courses like:
BJMC (Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication)
B.Sc. MCAJ (Bachelors of Science in Mass communication and Journalism)
You can take up the following courses from the government and private institutes. The eligibility Criteria for Bachelor in Mass Communication is:
Age: At the time of admission a student should be 17 years of age or should complete 17 years before 1st October of the year in which admission is sought.
Education Qualification: A student must have successfully completed his/her 10+2 from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any other examination recognized as equivalent to it. The minimum marks for gaining admission are 45 50 percent. However, most of the universities/institutes insist on 1st division in aggregate of 3 main subjects and 1 elective subject in XIIth standard. Some colleges also want their student to be fluent in English language and expect at least 75 marks in the subject.But selection of students is not done based solely on marks scored in 10+2. In order to gain admission in his/her desired university/institute every student as to appear for an entrance test. The entrance test is generally divided into three parts - written test, group discussion (G.D.) and personal interview (P.I.). And based on performance in all the three parts a student will be finally selected.This is just a general view of the eligibility criteria across various institutes / universities. However every institute and university has its own eligibility criteria. Students are advised to check out with each college separately.
