NIT MCA Common Entrance Test, commonly known as NIMCET is the national level entrance exam conducted every year by one of the National Institutes of Technology (NITs). Admissions take place on merit basis to Master of Computer Applications MCA programme across the NITs located in Agartala, Allahabad, Kurukshetra, Calicut, Raipur, Warangal, Surathkal, Durgapur, Trichy, Jamshedpur, Bhopal and Kurukshetra. Eligibility criteria B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum three years with Maths or Statistics or B.E. / B.Tech Students who have studied B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons)/BCA/ BIT of 3 years from Open Universities which are recognized are also eligible. The required passing percentage is 60% for General and OBCs, while 55% for SC/ST candidates. The registration process of NIMCET is starts in the month of March every year.
