MAT score is valid for admission for the same academic year in which the candidate has taken the exam. For example, MAT 2025 score will be valid for admission for 2025-2026 MBA batch only. If a candidate wishes to drop a year after taking the MAT exam, then they will have to appear for the exam once again next year. They should however check the eligibility or selection criteria to have a clarity of MAT score of which session/phase is valid for admission in which academic year. In order to determine your percentile based on your MAT composite score of 612.5, you would also need to know how many applicants took the MAT exam overall and how many passed, among other details. By comparing your score to the scores of other applicants, the percentile is determined. Here's a general process to calculate percentile:
Total the number of candidates who took the MAT. Add up each candidate's points. Results should be sorted in decreasing order. In the list of scores, locate your position or rank. Calculate your percentile using the formula: (Number of candidates with a score lower than yours / Total number of candidates)
