(c): A + B + C = 12540 .… (1)

A = 3 7 ( B + C )

A B + C = 3 7

So, A's Share = 3 1 0 * 1 2 5 4 0 = 3 7 6 2

B = 2 9 ( A + C )

B A + C = 2 9

So, B's Share = 2 1 1 * 1 2 5 4 0 = 2 2 8 0

(c):Let x be the percentage of water in the resultant mixture.

Using the alligation rule, we have

3 0 2 5 = ( 4 0 x ) ( x 2 0 )

6 (x – 20) = 5 (40 – x)

6x – 120 = 200 – 5x

11x = 320

x = 3 2 0 1 1 = 2 9 . 0 9 %

(b):Vande Bharat takes 6 hours from New Delhi to Bhopal. Duronto takes 4 hours from Bhopal to New Delhi. Let the distance between Delhi and Bhopal be 'd' kms.

Speed of Vande Bharat = d6km/hr

Speed of Duronto = d4km/hr

They will meet after = dd6+d4=225hours

= 2 hours & 24 minutes

Hence, required time = (7 + 2.24)

= 9 : 24 a.m.

150/- wax; 8.5/- thread; 12.5/- coloured paper; 9/- silver powder

Profit = 40%.

Net input = 150 + 8.5 + 12.5 + 9 = 180/-

Net profit = 180 * .4 = 72/-

1 2  the candles =  1 2   (180) = 90/-

At 50% profit = 45.

90 + 45 = 135/-

Let the remaining 1 2  = x

Net price = (72 + 180) = 135 + x

x = 117

Profit on second 1 2  = 117 – 90 = 27

2 7 9 0 * 1 0 0  = 30%

x 5 + x 6 = CP (x oranges of each type) = 1 1 x 3 0  and SP =  2 x 7

On selling 2x oranges, loss = x 5 + x 6 2 x 7 = 1 7 x 2 1 0

If loss is 34, Total oranges 2 x * 3 4 ( 1 7 x 2 1 0 ) = 8 4 0
