If CGPA is 5.5, it's not possible to get an entry into IIMs even after cracking CAT. But with good CAT score, you can get admission in tier3 campuses.

Hi,
As far as I know MAT is considered for NEHU admission not CAT. And cutoff for MAT is 75 plus for ST students.

Marketing will always provide you a good salary however, the struggle will be also on higher side. Most of the companies take for marketing but you have to do only sales.
Other streams like Operations, Finance, HR and IT also provide very good opportunities.

MBA from IIM will make you enter directly into Senior Management of Companies and provide higher chances of getting promoted. Salary packages will be completely dependent on from which IIM you pursue PGDM also for which company you apply. Mostly, the packages will be higher than 20 Lakhs.
